How do I control humidity!?

Variable speed units run longer and at lower speeds allowing air to constantly circulate against the cooling coil removing additional moisture. Variable speed motors also use less electricity than traditional motors reducing energy costs.

What is the difference between R-22 and R-410a?

R-22 is the term commonly associated with hydro-chlorofluorocarbon (HCFC). The chlorine contained in R-22 is an ozone depleting agent, Manufacturers ceased using R-22 in 2010.

R-410A is the term commonly associated with hydro-flourocarbon (HFC). It is much more environmentally friendly and has replaced R-22 as the primary refrigerent in HVAC products.

Refrigerent is a primary factor to consider when working with older units.
